In Ghana, thousands of people have gathered in Kumasi to mark one week since the passing of the Queen mother of the Ashantis. Drumming will echo throughout the Asanteman kingdom until the funeral is held. The country's politicians and chiefs were among those who attended the ceremony. Nana Afia Kobi reigned for 39 years. She was one-hundred and 11-years old when she died in her sleep last week.
