Authorities In Burkina Faso Foil An Overthrow Attempt, At Least 10 Arrested

To Burkina Faso now, and the interior minister says the country has foiled a coup attempt by forces loyal to ousted President Blaise Compaore. At least 10 people have been arrested. The alleged mastermind of the coup is on the run. The coup was supposed to take place earlier this month with an attack on the presidential palace and a prison. Forces loyal to Compaore tried to stage a coup in September last year. They surrendered a week later following protests. Current President Roch Marc Kabore has been in power for nearly a year. His election ended the turbulent political crisis since the overthrow of Compaore.
