Beekeepers in the Eastern Cape believe beekeeping has a potential to eradicate unemployment in rural areas. That is according to seven elderly women who have been harvesting honey for the past 18 years at the Zibungu Village outside Libode.
They received training from a bee farmer in 2001 and they say this business has assisted them to put their children through high school.
