Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, says that negotiations are ongoing with some countries on the repatriation of funds stolen and stashed abroad by some Nigerians. He disclosed that the Swiss government had already repatriated over 700 million dollars of stolen funds from the late military Head of State, General Sani Abacha and is in discussions to repatriate another 300 million dollars.
