Children as young as 11 have been the victims of jihadist violence including beheadings in northeast Mozambique during an insurgency in the region says Save the Children. According to outside monitors, the violence has displaced 670,000 people and claimed the lives of at least 2,600. And tens of thousands of Nigerians who fled to Cameroon to escape Boko Haram extremists are now hoping they can return home through a voluntary repatriation scheme. In Sudan life goes on as normal outside the hospitals despite infection rates that are believed to be higher than the 28,500 registered cases.
