Dozens Of Migrants Rescued Off The Coast Of Libya

Bodies of five people have been recovered off the coast of Libya. Well over 500 people have been rescued. The migrants are refugees are mostly from Syria and Bangladesh. They had been travelling in two large rubber dinghies and nine other smaller boats. They were found by a Spanish charity around 40 kilometres north of the Libyan city of Sabratha. According to the International Organisation for Migration, more than 1 hundred thousand people have reached Italy by boat this year along. More than 3000 have drowned while attempting the crossing.
