Egypt unveils 59 ancient coffins buried 2,500 years ago

Archaeologists in Egypt said on October 3, 2020 that they had discovered 59 coffins buried more than 2,500 years ago. Officials said they belonged to priests and clerks from the 26th dynasty. The sarcophagi were unearthed in an ancient necropolis in Saqqara, a UNESCO world heritage site located south of Cairo.
