Results of the parliamentary elections in Cote d'Ivoire have been released following a vote counting process that began on Monday. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Housing and Social Housing have been re-elected despite being sacked in late November. According to authorities, the voting process was carried out smoothly in spite of scattered violent incidents in recent months. However, this year's legislative election saw a relatively low voter participation compared to last year. President Alassane Ouattara, who leads the country's ruling party, expects a solid majority to complete his second and final term.
