Senegal first international oil and Gas summit opened today in Dakar with a focus on the MSGBC Basin region which includes Mauritania, Senegal, the Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea. This summit is taking place at a time when recent discoveries of oil and natural gas have been made in Senegal. Governments, national companies, international gas companies, and civil society gathered at the summit to discuss the strategic impact that natural resources will have on Africa and particularly on Senegal. The two-day summit, will allow participants to share ideas, find opportunities, and build synergies in favor of the hydrocarbon sector
