Women Rights continue to remain a big issue in Nigeria with several women groups campaigning for equal rights for women as with their male counterparts. The country has made significant progress in terms affirmative action but women still suffer some deep-rooted discrimination even in a cosmopolitan city like Lagos, Nigeria's commercial capital.
