Russia and Egypt have held talks on how to increase airport security. Moscow is reportedly proposing that Russian tourists enter and exit Egypt via separate terminals. Local media say Russia intends to rent a terminal at any given Egyptian airport and take responsibility for safety and compliance operations. Alternatively, it's proposed the construction of a temporary terminal in Cairo, soley for Russian use. In this case, Egyptian law-enforcement authorities would apaprently carry out customs checks and passport control, while Russian specialists would be responsible for the examination of cargo, passengers and aircraft.
