Senegal's Gendarme Showcase Dressage Techniques In Open Day

Published
People in Senegal may be more familiar with football terms than horse riding disciplines like dressage. But the country's security forces are giving locals a chance to appreciate horse riding. The national Gendarme presented a horse show at the Samba Diery Diallo barracks in Dakar. It was an open day, where people were given the chance to familiarise themselves with the mounted squadron. Dressage techniques, jumping and beautiful stunts were on display. General Meissa Niang, the high commander of the national gendarmerie, spoke of the squadron's history in Senegal.
