South African civil rights groups have shown their support for Finance Minister Praveen Gordin and two former tax officials. Gordin has refused to be questioned over a so-called rogue unit, set up at the South African Revenue Service during his tenure. The unit allegedly spied on high-profile businessmen and politicians suspected of organised crime and illicit trading. Angelo Coppola starts us off, from Pretoria.
