Tanzania Opens Project To Pipe Gas To Dar Es Salaam

Published
Tanzania has opened a 1.33 billion dollar energy project to pipe natural gas to its commercial capital, Dar es Salaam, in a bid to meet power demands. The 532 km Mtwara-Dar es Salaam pipeline and gas processing plants were financed by a Chinese loan, and is part of a plan to add about 2,000 megawatts of new gas-fired electricity generating power, by 2018.
