Tunisia bowed out of the 2022 Women's AFCON in Morocco after a 1-0 loss to South Africa, missing out on an automatic ticket to the 2023 World Cup. They will now play in the repêchage to determine the fifth country to qualify for next year's World Cup finals with a match against Senegal on Sunday. Botswana and Zambia are also involved in that competition.
