Women In Rural Senegal Receive Vocational Training

Published
Across Senegal, celebrations to mark the International Women's Day on Wednesday, focused on appreciating women's efforts in society. A network of 5-thousand women has partnered with local authorities to highlight the plight of women in rural Senegal. The association has been working on vocational training -- which covers fishing, gardening and poultry farming. The programme is in line with Senegal's plan to change workplace dynamics, and ensure gender parity by 2030.
